Our Method
How We Prepare Students
Diagnostic Assessment
We begin with an initial assessment to identify strengths, gaps, and priority areas — tailored to Westminster's specific entrance requirements.
Weekly Structured Learning Plan
Each student receives a personalised plan aligned with Westminster's entrance requirements. Tutors create bespoke lesson content and targeted homework.
Targeted Exam Practice & Mocks
Students work through hand-crafted exam papers with unlimited online practice tests that replicate the real assessment format, tracking performance throughout.
Interview & Confidence Coaching
Beyond academic preparation, we prepare students for interviews and assessments, building confidence, clarity of expression, and readiness for assessment day.

Many families use online platforms for extra practice. These work best when paired with expert tutoring. Our role is to identify the root cause of mistakes, teach the underlying method, provide written feedback, and guide parents through the entrance process.
“The preparation our daughter received was exceptional. Her tutor understood exactly what Westminster's Challenge required and built her confidence in a way that made a real difference to her performance.”

Why us
Our background at Westminster School
Our Westminster tutors attended Westminster School and know precisely what The Challenge demands — a level of intellectual engagement, breadth of knowledge, and analytical writing that standard CE preparation does not build.
We prepare students for Westminster's distinctive style: extended analytical writing across seven core papers, specialist subject depth, and the ability to demonstrate genuine intellectual range under examination conditions.
Planning ahead
Suggested Timeline — 13+ Entry
Begin building depth across all core CE subjects. Westminster's Challenge rewards broad academic ability and intellectual engagement beyond the syllabus. Strong Latin and/or French preparation is especially important.
Submit The Challenge application — no prior Westminster registration required to sit the exam, but applications with head teacher counter-signature must be in by 28 February of Year 8.
Intensive preparation for all 7 core papers plus 2 chosen specialist papers. Focus on extended analytical writing, depth of subject knowledge, and the ability to perform across multiple disciplines over several days.
Sit Westminster's The Challenge exam — 7 compulsory papers plus 2 specialist papers chosen by the candidate. Outstanding performance across all papers is required for a scholarship award.
