We can usually begin within 3–7 days. Once you contact us, we arrange a short consultation, match your child with the right tutor, and confirm your first session. Your first lesson is no commitment, so there is nothing to decide before you have met your tutor.

Once you send us an enquiry, we ask for a few key details: what your child is preparing for, their current working level, and the target school. We then arrange a short 20-minute consultation and match your child with the most appropriate tutor.

We match based on your child's target school, exam type, year group, and personality fit. Where possible, we assign a tutor who attended the same target school, so they have genuine first-hand knowledge of the admissions process.

It depends on your child's age, focus level, and the subject being covered. For younger students (7+ and 11+), 45–60 minutes is usually the sweet spot. For older students (13+ and 16+), 60–90 minutes can be productive. We discuss the right format during your consultation.

Our tutors are available on most weekday evenings after 5pm, as well as throughout the weekend, subject to individual availability. We try to match your preferred slot as closely as possible during the booking process.

We offer both. In-person sessions run near your target school, Cambridge for the Perse, London for City of London and the other London schools, and so on for each school on our list. Online sessions are delivered via Zoom or Google Meet with screen-sharing and interactive whiteboard tools, anywhere in the UK. Many families prefer the flexibility of online.

Yes. Every student gets structured homework between lessons, and your tutor tells you how your child is doing as the programme runs rather than only at the end. Mock papers and assessments are marked and the scores tracked, so progress is measured against the paper your child will actually sit.

Yes. Mocks and diagnostics are marked and scored, and we share those scores with you along with what they mean for the remaining plan. If your child is behind where they need to be for a target school, you will hear it from us early rather than in the final few weeks.

Core is £60 per tutoring hour and covers everything needed for assessment day: 1:1 weekly sessions with a tutor who is an alumnus of your target school, personalised lesson plans built around the exam format, unlimited practice papers, mocks, marking and homework, full mock exams under timed conditions, interview and group activity preparation, and score tracking and progress reports. It starts with a 20-minute free consultation.

Signature is £95 per tutoring hour and includes everything in Core, taught by one of our five most experienced tutors. It adds bespoke mock papers written for your child, unlimited mock interviews, group activity and classroom task rehearsal, a monthly 15-minute progress call, a founder check-in every term, and extracurricular development guidance. Application support is there if you want it, covering the personal statement, strategy and deadlines, though plenty of families handle that side themselves. Signature is online only and capped at 5 students per tutor.

Yes. There are no contracts, so you can change level between sessions. Signature has limited availability because each tutor takes a maximum of 5 students, so it is worth telling us early if you think you will want it.

No. Both levels are charged per tutoring hour with no hidden fees, no joining fee and no separate material costs, practice papers, mocks and marking are included. Your first lesson is no commitment and you can stop any time.

Yes, and in many cases more effective than adult tutors for this type of preparation. Our tutors attended the same selective schools your child is targeting, sat the same entrance tests, and recently went through the same admissions process. That lived experience is difficult to replicate from secondary sources.

All tutors go through a thorough vetting process including identity verification, reference checks, and a structured interview. Every tutor who works with children under 18 holds an Enhanced DBS check. We also monitor all sessions and collect parent feedback after each lesson.
